The buyer, Montgomery Housing Partnership (MHP), will develop much needed affordable housing by utilizing both 4% and 9% LIHTCs. In addition to the maximum 9% award, they were awarded $1,000,000 from the Rental Housing Program, and will receive a $2,200,000 grant from Amazon’s Housing Equity Fund. All 163 units will be preserved as affordable for households earning between 30% and 80% of area median income.
This 2.66-acre property is located in a Maryland designated Community of Opportunity, Priority Funding Area, and Sustainable Community.
